Richard A. Wright studied film at both New York City’s School of Visual Arts and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He began his career as a production designer with David Gordon Green’s debut film George Washington, and has since collaborated with Green on numerous projects, including All the Real Girls, Prince Avalanche, and the Halloween trilogy.
In addition to his work with Green, Richard’s diverse portfolio includes Jared Hess' Gentlemen Broncos, Craig Zobel’s Great World of Sound, Ramin Bahrani’s Chop Shop, Jeff Nichols’ Mud, Peter Sattler’s Camp X-Ray, Danny McBride’s The Righteous Gemstones, and Green’s most recent film, Nutcrackers. Known for his ability to create immersive and authentic environments, Richard’s work spans a wide range of genres, from independent films to major studio productions.
