Mark Worthington began his career while still a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon, working with Cletus Anderson on George Romero and Dario Argento’s film Two Evil Eyes. This early work in the horror genre laid the foundation for his later success, including his acclaimed designs for the first five seasons of American Horror Story.

Mark’s television credits include the pilot of Lost, Ugly Betty, Star Trek: Discovery, The Umbrella Academy, Watchmen, Mythic Quest, Why Women Kill, and the award-winning WandaVision. His feature film work as an art director includes titles like _Tombstone, Wag the Dog, Austin Powers 3, _and more recently, he designed Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile and Lisa Frankenstein. Mark has been nominated for nine Emmy Awards, winning for WandaVision, and has received six Art Directors Guild Awards. He also helped establish UCLA’s MFA program in Production Design, where he continues to teach.
