Bio

Starting his career in the 1970s as a painter and carpenter, Jack Fisk is known for his years-long collaboration with director Terrence Malick, production designing most of his films starting with the 1973 debut Badlands, and including Days of Heaven,The Thin Red Line, The New World and Tree of Life.

Jack also designed David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive _ and The Straight Story, Brian De Palma’s Phantom of the Paradise and Carrie, and Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master and There Will Be Blood, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award in 2008. In 2016 he received his second Academy Award nomination for Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant. Jack recent projects include Martin’s Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, and Marty Supreme.
