Fiona Crombie is an Australian production designer based in London. Initially trained as a set and costume designer for theater, she transitioned into film after a decade in the Australian theater industry. Commercials, short films, and music videos provided her with the hands - on experience that shaped her film career.
Fiona’s first feature film as production and co-costume designer was The Snowtown Murders. Since then, her work has included acclaimed projects like Jane Campion’s Top of the Lake (the first season), Justin Kurzel’s Macbeth, Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite, which earned her an Academy Award nomination, and Craig Gillespie’s Cruella. Most recently, she worked on Ari Aster’s Beau Is Afraid, and Mickey 17, directed by Bong Joon Ho. Fiona is known for her exceptional talent in creating visually captivating environments that bring each story to life, enriching the overall narrative of every project she works on.
