Bio

Daniela Cruz Rodríguez is a Mexican production designer and art director based in Mexico City. She holds a History degree from UNAM, specializing in Art History, and a Filmmaking degree with a specialization in Art Direction from ENAC. Her filmography includes Mente Revólver (Alhambra de Oro, Granada Film Festival), La Historia Negra del Cine Mexicano, Efímera (FICG, 2022), Pérdida Total (2024), and Mudanza (GIFF, 2024). She is a member of the Production Designers Collective and coordinated the First International Meeting of Production Design at UNAM. In 2024, she was a FEISAL jury at FICG and attended the Production Designers Gathering in Greece.

She is the founder and director of the Biennial of Cinematic Scenarios (BIEC), a platform conceived for film students that explores production design through critical, historical, and speculative approaches. She is also a professor at ENAC , a member of the Production Design Rearsch and Education Network (PD-REN), remaining actively engaged in both professional and educational film communities.
