Bio

Carlos Lagunas' journey from architecture to film and television is a tale of artistic evolution. Graduating from Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, with a degree in architecture equipped him with a profound understanding of spatial dynamics and design principles. He delved into commercial architecture before transitioning to the enchanting world of film around 2001. Starting as a Set Designer and 3D Model maker, Carlos quickly moved through the ranks, collaborating with esteemed producers like Eric Zonca, Luc Besson, and Jonathan Sanger on over 40 films. His international working experience, spanning approximately 14 countries, showcases his adaptability and cultural fluency. Carlos's accolades include The Crystal Screen 2020 award for Best Art Direction for the Period Film “SONORA” and a nomination for The Silver Ariel 2020 for the horror film “BELZEBUTH” and a nomination for “CABRINI”, Best Production Design at The International Film Festival of Australia. His journey is a  fusion of creativity, technical skill, and cultural awareness within the realm of film and television.
