Bio
I was born in 1957 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. I am a production designer and art director, known for Gattaca (1997), 47 Ronin (2013) and Ghost in the Shell (2017) as well as several of the Fast&Furious franchise films. I am a two time Oscar nominee. I am still very active and currently involved in pre production of Antoine Fuqua‘s upcoming feature “Hannibal”. I have served multiple times (including as recently as 2025) on the Jury of the prestigious Cinematography Film Festival in Poland, Camerimage. I have also been honoured with the Golden Frog at the same festival. I have also been nominated by the Art Directors Guild.
