Bio

Víctor Molero is a Spanish production designer with a distinguished international career in film and television. Born in Granada into a family of artisans, he developed an early sensitivity to materials, light, and the expressive potential of space. Trained in Fine Arts and at Madrid’s Royal School of Dramatic Arts, Molero combines a painter’s sense of composition with a theatrical understanding of narrative architecture.

After beginning his career in theatre and Spanish auteur cinema, he worked as art director and production designer for acclaimed filmmakers such as Pedro Almodóvar (Broken Embraces, Bad Education, Talk to Her), Icíar Bollaín (Take My Eyes), and Julio Medem (Sex and Lucía), among others. His approach —rooted in emotion and precision— builds spaces that extend the psychology of the story rather than merely illustrating it.

In recent years he has expanded his practice across major international productions, designing shows such as The Night Manager 2 (BBC / Amazon), A Gentleman in Moscow (Paramount+ / Showtime), Culprits (Disney+ / Star), Now and Then (Apple TV+), and The Irregulars (Netflix). His work on A Gentleman in Moscow earned him a nomination at the 2025 British Film Designers Guild Awards, highlighting his distinctive balance between visual poetry and narrative clarity.

Molero is a member of the British Film Designers Guild (BFDG), the Spanish Association of Production Designers (AEDAA), the Spanish Film Academy, and the European Film Academy. He is represented by United Agents (London).

His visual language is defined by a deep dialogue between emotion, architecture, and time — an understanding of cinematic space as a poetic extension of the human experience.
