Bio

Roman Mikheev began his career in the film industry as a prop master on the set of the TV series «Власик. Тень Сталина» (dir. Alexey Muradov) in 2013. Immersed in the work of the art department, he became fascinated with the filmmaking process and began studying production design, set decoration, and frame composition. Advancing his career on commercial projects—such as «Крыша мира» (dir. Roman Fokin), «Обещание» (dir. Yuri Leyzerov), and «Неваляшка» (dir. Roman Prosvirnin), where he worked as a set decorator—Roman also explored the role of production designer on small non-commercial projects and short films («Зона комфорта» and «Спальный квартал», both dir. Matvey Kuzin). In 2016, director Roman Prosvirnin filmed the TV movie «Блюз для сентября», and Roman, who had previously collaborated with him as a set decorator, joined the project as a production designer. Over the next few years, he worked as a production designer on more than 10 TV projects, including: «Сколько стоит счастье» (dir. Roman Prosvirnin) «Наживка для ангела» (dir. Valery Devyatilov) «Двойная ложь» (dir. Sergey Lyalin) «Переверни страницу», «Сила обстоятельств», and «Завтра будет новый день» (all dir. Andrey Selivanov) «Приличная семья сдаст комнату» (dir. Beyond television, Roman has worked as a production designer on music video projects. The live music show «17:55» is widely regarded as one of the most visually stunning music productions in the Russian internet space, and many of the music videos he has worked on have garnered millions of views—for example, Mary Gu – «Не перегори» (8M views) and Loc-Dog – «Повзрослел» (2.8M views). Collaborations with major film studios—such as Marius Film («Когда-нибудь наступит завтра», dir. Stanislav Mareyev), 1/2/3 Production («Цыганка», dir. Dmitry Petrun), and Star Media («Холодные берега», dir. Sergey Komarov)—helped refine his distinctive style and high standard of work. The project was screened at numerous Russian and international film festivals, including: МКФ Циолковский 2023 Ariano International Film Festival 2023 Всероссийский Шукшинский кинофестиваль 2023 Grenzland-Filmtage Selb IFF 2023 That same year, he participated in the Indian international feature film «Runaway 34» (dir.
