Bio

Naomi Shohan studied arts and philosophy and started her career as an NBC camera operator and designed low-budget films in NYC in the 1980s and 90s. In 1999 Naomi designed Sam Mendes’ American Beauty, for which she was nominated for a Bafta and an Art Directors Guild Award. She has collaborated with director Antoine Fuqua on The Replacement Killers, Training Day, Tears of the Sun, The Equalizer 1,2 and the upcoming Emancipation.

Other credits include the films Constantine, I Am Legend, Ben Hur, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Winter’s Tale, A Wrinkle in Time by Ava DuVernay, and The Lovely Bones by Peter Jackson, for which she was nominated for an Art Directors Guild Award. Naomi is currently in production on Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer 3.
